I just got a two year old chihuahua. I think she is not eating enough. What is normal for her age? And what foods do chihuahuas like or need the best?

Also, does any one know what I can do about her being in heat. She is always trying to hump my arm. I want her to have puppies in the future so what can I do for the mean while?

I just bought a Chihuahua that is about 8 weeks old. I bought him some Purina Tiny Bites Indoor dog food, but he takes 1 piece of food at a time, walks away, and eats that 1 piece. He'll come back for more, but the most I've seen him eat is like 5 or 6 little pieces. Is that normal or should he be eating more? Or could it be that the pieces themselves are actually too big? I bought him "Tiny Bites". Do they come any smaller?

I have a chihuahua that is a little over 4lb full grown and wanted to know if that was in the teacup size? or what a teacup size would be considered.

How much should dog day care / dog walking cost?
I have an 8 week old Puppy. I want someone to watch him while I’m in class which is 3 hours two days a week. I’m willing to drop him off if necessary. As time goes on I would like it if someone could watch him while I’m at work with is another 8 hours 2 days a week. How should a dog walker/sitter cost?

I am a dog walker at a shelter, and in light of the summer job crisis in Michigan, I was thinking about charging my neighbors to do some basic things for their dogs. I was thinking offering walking, brushing, and I dunno.. I'm not a professional trainer so I won't say that, but I can play with them and work on manners. I need to figure out what, with my limited qualifications (experience but no certifications) I can ethically offer, and what is reasonable to charge. Any suggestions?

This chihuahua is purebred (has no papers) and is 1 and a half years old (adult). She is three pounds and is very healthy and beautiful, amazing temperament, but has only had ONE set of shots (so she still needs two more sets of shots). The owner is my co-worker, and she has to get rid of the dog because she has only had it for four months and it is stressing out her other chihuahua. She got it straight from a breeder. She is asking $450 for the dog. Is this a reasonable price? What would you pay for this dog?
I also wanted to add that we've had the chi in our home for a week to test her out, and she is doing great, so I know that she has already bonded to us!

Also, we live in the New York City area, where chihuahua puppies usually run $800-$1600.

I'm planning on adopting a chihuahua soon and she will be able to come home with me in February. I will be going to school three days a week for a few hours. I understand that a chihuahua is okay for a few hours on it's own, but is it any different when it is a puppy of 12 weeks? Will there have to be someone there with it ALL the time until it is older or will it be okay? Also if anyone has any experiences with raising a puppy i would appreciate advice. Thanks!
I really appreciate the advice i'm getting, but if anyone could i'd appreciate more on the main question. Would a young puppy of 12 weeks be able to be alone while i'm at school? I've heard they need to be taken out to pee almost every hour.

I live in the San Francisco Bay area (Palo Alto area). One of my clients has asked if I would like to take care of her beautiful home and her dog for 2 &1/2 days. Involves light gardening, walking dog 3X per day and staying overnight. How much is appropriate to charge?

I just started working as a pet sitter/dog walker for a pet care company and I am paid 45-50% of the total charge of each sit/walk. I have heard that 70-80% is the norm. Am I getting ripped off?
Well, duh, Bonnie. That's why I'm trying to find out if I should be getting paid more- so I can decide to quit or not.

My girlfriend is Certified dog trainer and has clients wanting to have her board their dog while training for one month. How much would you charge an individual for one month?
